Why Swallow?

Swallows have long been symbols of freedom and hope. They are also known for their fearless acrobatics, tireless flight and extensive webs of social cooperation. Through the ages, humans have used swallow iconography to represent their aspirations and joys. The lively little bird remains today a powerful symbol of our yearning for more buoyant lives. Our foundation exists to help create opportunities for people’s own swallow spirits to take flight.
